Portable Air Conditioners

Portable Air Conditioner is an air conditioner that is mobile.
Unlike window (through-the-wall) or central air conditioning units, portable units do not require permanent installation. Commonly, these units have caster wheels for easy portability. They are relatively lightweight and are generally about 28″ to 34″ tall.
It is necessary to vent portable air conditioners because they extract hot air. In order for your air conditioning system to cool the room effectively, you need to let the hot air vent to the outside. Portable air conditioners can be vented through a window, wall, ceiling or even a door.

In most cases, your portable air conditioner will not need to be drained. Some portable air conditioners use a condensation exhaust system to expel water vapor collected during the dehumidifying/cooling process and will need draining of the internal water tank.
A portable AC should always be placed on a hard level floor at least 8-12" away from obstructions like furniture, flowers, etc. Ideally, a portable air conditioner should be placed near an outside window and near an electrical outlet.
